How the Rules of Futsal Develop Player Concentration

4 Second Restarts: Continual concentration is required with futsal, even when the ball goes out of play. This develops discipline and quick-thinking as well as organisational skills. Players must understand the game situation, as transitions from defence to attack and vice-versa occur in a split second.

Fouls: Any more than 5 fouls per half result in a 10-metre penalty for each subsequent foul. Defenders benefit, learning the importance of good body shape and decision making. It also helps develop 360° vision in understanding potential danger, particularly when marking players. Attacking players also flourish if they can manipulate the ball to beat players.
